Stay on the tools. We'll catch the calls.
Every call you can't take gets a text from your business within about a minute. Every job it catches lands on your call-back list, so nothing slips through.
Let your phone ring. Keep working.

Your phone costs you time or it costs you jobs.
Answer it and the work slows down. Ignore it and the work goes elsewhere. There hasn't been a third option.
Pulled off the job, again.
Gloves off, ladder down, "sorry mate, what was that?" Every call stalls you and the crew.
A missed call rings the next tradie.
If it rings out, the customer scrolls down Google and calls whoever picks up first.
Call-backs vanish by knock-off.
Five missed calls by 4pm is a blur. Who was that, what did they want, and is it too late now?
How it works
Three steps, and you don't lift a finger for any of them.
You miss the call
You're under a house or halfway through a job. Let it ring. That's the whole point.
They get a text from your business
Within about a minute. A short text chat collects the job, the suburb and how urgent it is.
You get the job, ready to go
One tidy text with a tap-to-call number, and it's already on your call-back list for the afternoon.
Two jobs, both done properly.
Catching the call is half of it. Making sure you actually ring back, and seeing what that's worth, is the other half.

Fair questions
Something else on your mind? Text 022 012 7536.
Do I keep my own number?
Yes. Same phone, same number. Calls you answer work exactly as they always have. Only the ones you don't answer come to us.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes. Flick us a text and we'll walk you through it over the phone.
Does it work with a landline?
Often, yes. It works best on your work mobile. Text us what you've got and we'll tell you straight.
What happens with urgent jobs?
If the caller says it's urgent, you're flagged straight away so you can ring back between tasks, not at knock-off.
Will it spam my customers?
No. One friendly text when you miss their call, a couple of quick questions, and that's it. No marketing and no nagging follow-ups.
How do I stop?
Text us and we'll switch it off. No contract, no hoops.
Built by a local, for local trades.
I'm Callum, a local architecture student. I spend a lot of time around people who build things, and I kept hearing the same complaint: they can't answer the phone on the job, and they know they're losing work because of it.
So I built Off The Tools to fix that one problem properly. It's simple and it's local. If something isn't right, you're texting me, not a call centre.
